Our Vision

Glad Tidings Church exists to be an intergenerational church, loving God and producing disciples that will spread the good news and demonstrate God’s love. We live this out by obeying the Great Commandment to love God and love others (Matthew 22:37-39) and the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).

Our Six Values

Grounded in the Word (John 8:31)

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God, and the highest authority for our lives. We are a community that studies, meditates on and lives by Scripture, so that we grow in the mind of Christ and a biblical worldview that shapes how we think, believe and act.

Walking by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16)

As an Evangelical and Pentecostal church, we believe in being continually filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), who transforms us into Christlikeness and empowers us to live holy lives, share the gospel, and operate in the fruits and gifts of the Spirit.

Reaching Others with the Gospel (Acts 1:8)

Mission is in our DNA. We are called to reach our local community and the nations through proclamation of the Good News, works of justice and mercy, and acts of service (Micah 6:8, 2 Corinthians 5:20). Every member is sent as an ambassador of Christ, both where they live and to the ends of the earth.

Nurturing Faith in Generations (Psalm 145:4)

We are intentionally intergenerational, not simply generations sharing the same space, but generations actively investing in one another. While we have age-specific ministries, we prioritise building intentional relationships across generations where faith stories are shared and the works of God are passed on. We believe it is these relationships that root people deeply in their faith and in the life of our church.

Faithful in Prayer (John 15:5)

Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing. Prayer is central to our life together. We pursue spiritual formation practices that deepen our relationship with God, and we intercede — contending for God’s will to be done in our lives, our church and our world.

Building a Loving Community (John 13:34)

We believe we become more like Christ together. As a family adopted by God’s grace, we are committed to relationships marked by love, humility, authenticity and care for one another. Following Jesus’ own model of relational discipleship, we walk alongside one another through every season of life.
